At Key Stage 3, pupils study a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction. At Key Stage 4, pupils gain two qualifications: GCSE’s in both English and English Literature. English is also offered post 16 and is popular with the students.
Throughout the year the faculty offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities and events, open to pupils of all ages and abilities. These include Theatre trips and workshops, visits by Drama companies and lectures at Universities. Every year the school holds a Reading Week during which pupils have the opportunity to meet and work with established writers. |
